Critical Minecraft 26.2 compatibility fix
Lost Signal VHS v1.6.1 fixes the corrupted blue/white world image that appeared
when the shader was enabled on Minecraft 26.2 with Iris 1.11.2.
What changed
- Added explicit lightweight geometry passes so Iris always supplies the real
vanilla-lit scene to the VHS post-processing pipeline. - Made the temporal framebuffer read/write flips explicit.
- Preserved all v1.6 effects, profiles, and controls.
- Includes the completed roadmap: Liminal Signal, tape generations, period
camcorders, and broken-signal simulation.
Compatibility
- Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 / 26.1.2 with Iris 1.11.2 and Sodium
- Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11, 1.21.4, 1.21.1, and 1.20.1 with compatible Iris
- OpenGL graphics backend required; Iris does not support Minecraft 26.2 Vulkan
Users on Minecraft 26.2 should update from v1.6 to v1.6.1 immediately.
Verification
Tested in a live Minecraft 26.2 world with Iris 1.11.2 and Sodium 0.9.1. Shader
toggle off/on, alpha-tested foliage, the temporal history buffer, and the full
VHS pipeline all render correctly without shader compilation or OpenGL errors.
