Lost Signal VHS v1.8.1 — Critical Packaging Hotfix
This release fixes the invalid ZIP structure in v1.7 and v1.8. Those archives stored shader paths with Windows backslashes, so Iris could not discover the required shaders/ directory and rejected the pack as invalid.
Fixed
- rebuilt every archive entry with standard portable
/paths - added explicit directory entries so Java ZipFS and Iris see
shaders/ - added deterministic release validation for shader entry points, geometry fallback programs, localization files, unsafe paths, and invalid separators
- retained every v1.8 Analog Fog feature and preset without shader-code changes
Verified
- Minecraft 26.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.3
- Iris 1.11.2 + Sodium 0.9.1
- NVIDIA RTX 5070, OpenGL 3.3, driver 596.49
- Iris selected the pack, created the Overworld pipeline, and reloaded the Analog Fog profile with no shader compile/link errors
Established primary targets: 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2.
Extended compatibility targets: 1.18.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.4, 1.20.6, 1.21.5, 1.21.8, 1.21.10. These use the same conservative GLSL interfaces but have not all been live-tested across every loader/GPU/driver combination.
Minecraft 26.x requires Iris with OpenGL; do not use the experimental Vulkan backend.

v1.7 and v1.8 are superseded because their downloadable ZIPs are invalid in Iris. Please use v1.8.1.
