@AlexStapleton AlexStapleton released this 17 Sep 23:33

InterruptX measures DPC/ISR interrupt latency, attributes it to a specific driver, recommends changes only where measurement supports them, and safely mutates interrupt-affinity and power-plan settings with a snapshot → verify → auto-revert loop.

Highlights

  • Measure — ETW-based DPC/ISR latency capture with per-driver × per-core attribution and optional PresentMon frame pacing.
  • Diagnose & Recommend — an attribution-first recommendation engine (willing to say "not your problem"); each recommendation is a mechanism + a directional prediction + a proof recipe.
  • GUI workbench (egui) — Devices, CPU (topology map), Power, Measure, Recommend, Verify, Drift, and History tabs: the advanced-tuner loop of Diagnose → Preview → Apply → Verify, wrapped by drift/history ledgers and a persistent safety band.
  • Safe mutation — transactional apply with captured baselines, per-item and global revert, and boot-health auto-revert.

Requirements

  • Windows 11 (x64). Administrator rights — the GUI self-elevates; the engine runs as a LocalSystem service over an admin-only named pipe.

Build & run (from source)

cargo build --release -p interruptx
target\release\interruptx.exe            # GUI (default)
target\release\interruptx.exe tui        # terminal UI

Status — please read

InterruptX is under active development. The read / measure / diagnose surfaces are exercised in CI; the write path (changing interrupt affinity and power settings) has been validated on the author's hardware only. The isolated-install destructive-recovery drill (P0-T4) and the full safety-wrapper set (boot-health / drift / recovery / pre-flight / destructive matrix) are not yet complete, so applying changes on other machines is at your own risk. It edits real registry keys and interrupt/power configuration — back up and have a recovery path before applying changes.

No prebuilt binary is attached; build from source as above.
