This release is built entirely from player feedback.
New
- Environment Ping (P key, or R3 on a gamepad) — asks "what is around me?" and reads it out on demand: hazards first, then boss / explosive / elite, then items, ending with the enemy count. Each entry gives direction and distance ("Loot crate, up-right, 18 meters"). It reports everything found even when the Smart Beacon is narrowing the audio down to one target, so you can lean on it instead of the continuous cues.
- Objective resources now have their own cue and announcements — a two-note bell, higher priority than ordinary minerals. Covers Morkite veins (told apart by what your mission actually asks for) and Apoca Bloom / Boolo Cap, which were completely silent before.
- Lootbugs are announced again. They stay out of the enemy beeps (there are far too many of them), and behave like a collectible instead: only the nearest one ever chirps.
- Hollow Bough's spiky roots are now a hazard. A vine field is dozens of blocks but a single area to avoid, so it produces ONE alarm, using the lowest and slowest tone of the hazard set. It turns critical, and speaks up, only once you are inside the roots' real damage radius.
- Player rank on demand — outside gameplay, G (or RB) announces your rank and how many class levels remain to the next one. Previously it was only readable on the save-slot screen at launch.
- Rock Dozer (DLC class) support — while driving, all directions (audio cues, compass, wall detection) are measured from the vehicle's nose instead of the screen. Driving uses a throttle and a steering wheel, so screen-relative cues no longer matched the controls and movement felt wrong. A new Vehicle-Relative Directions toggle in the mod settings turns this off if you prefer the old behaviour.
Fixed
- Play menu: the Endless button was silent, and locked entries never said they were locked. Locked buttons keep their label in a hidden group, so the mod was reading an empty field — it now reads the group that is actually visible and announces "Locked". The Endless description (including why it is locked) is announced too.
- Bonus objectives are now in the pause menu. The pause screen has no field for them at all, so they are read from the run's own objective tracker, with progress and completion state.
All new messages are localized in the 22 supported languages.
