Release list
Cairn v0.5.1
Universal builds — every platform, every processor:
- cairn-v0.5.1-universal-release.apk — Android UNIVERSAL: one signed APK for all CPUs (arm64-v8a + armeabi-v7a + x86_64)
- cairn-setup-v0.5.1.exe — Windows installer (x64)
- cairn-windows-release-v0.5.1.zip — Windows portable (x64)
- cairn-setup-v0.5.1-arm64.exe — Windows installer (ARM64, native)
- cairn-windows-arm64-release-v0.5.1.zip — Windows portable (ARM64, native)
- cairn-v0.5.1-linux-x64.tar.gz — Linux x64: extract and run ./cairn (needs GTK 3)
- cairn-v0.5.1-linux-arm64.tar.gz — Linux ARM64 (native): same, for ARM devices
- cairn-v0.5.1-macos.dmg / cairn-v0.5.1-macos.zip — macOS UNIVERSAL (Apple silicon + Intel in one binary); not notarized — first launch: right-click → Open
- cairn-v0.5.1-ios-unsigned.ipa — iOS (arm64, the only iPhone architecture), UNSIGNED: sideload with your own Apple ID (AltStore/SideStore) or sign it yourself
Every binary's architecture was verified from the actual shipped files. Networking is configured per platform (macOS network sandbox entitlements; iOS local-network permission), and the same studio runs on all five platforms.
Cairn v0.5.0
Cairn now runs on five platforms — the same studio, the same codebase: Android, Windows, Linux, macOS and iOS.
Downloads:
- cairn-v0.5.0-arm64-release.apk — Android, signed (installs over previous versions)
- cairn-setup-v0.5.0.exe — Windows installer
- cairn-windows-release-v0.5.0.zip — Windows portable
- cairn-v0.5.0-linux-x64.tar.gz — Linux: extract and run ./cairn (needs GTK 3)
- cairn-v0.5.0-macos.dmg / cairn-v0.5.0-macos.zip — macOS universal (Apple silicon + Intel); not notarized — on first launch right-click the app → Open
- cairn-v0.5.0-ios-unsigned.ipa — iOS, UNSIGNED: install via sideloading with your own Apple ID (e.g. AltStore/SideStore) or sign it with your own certificate
Networking is configured per platform so sync works out of the box: the macOS build carries the network client+server sandbox entitlements, and the iOS build asks for local-network permission (required for LAN discovery and sync). The Windows Tool Host remains Windows-only; on the other platforms, tools run locally.
Cairn v0.4.0
Fresh start + language freedom: every assistant-authored model, dataset and ready-made agent was removed — Cairn now ships empty, with only your own models. Languages are fully general: add any custom language in Settings and use it in projects and flowchart translator steps (no fixed language pair). The Windows app is now "Cairn" (Cairn.exe) with the cairn-setup-v0.4.0.exe installer, and the capsule navigation's edge items were fixed.
Cairn v0.3.1
Network honesty fix: the network status now refreshes live (every 3 seconds and on app resume) instead of being computed once at startup, and generic VPN tunnels no longer count as a local network (only Tailscale-range mesh addresses do).
