Prof Dev Labs Content
Here's a comprehensive list of all the labs we delivered at the start of the year:
In which we introduced the idea of a separate identity, based around a new Google account and, of course, the fantastic GitHub. We also looked at Visual Studio Code, plugins for markdown, editing and interrogating REST services.

Lab worksheet
In this lab we looked at the 16Personalities tool, and used it to find out more about what we want from a team, and what we can give back.
We looked at some fundamental team roles and how they can best be assigned:
- Client Advocate
- Project Manager
- Tech Lead
- User Advocate
We assigned the roles to members of our teams.

Cheat Sheet
In this lab, we looked at how the effort commitment spreadsheet could be used to give us an idea of the project budget, in developer-hours. We looked at splitting the project into phases, with a large amount of time set aside at the beginning to do small investigations while we settle on the product's requirements and design.

Cheat Sheet
In this lab, we looked at an example process to follow, which uses simple tools to help understand and document requirements, collate ideas, and describe an entire product.
We looked a how this description could be broken down into components and finally tasks, which could be used to estimate the amount of effort required to construct the product.
We understood how we could compare the estimate against the project construction budget, found using the effort commitment spreadsheet.
Finally, we looked at two worked example projects, which show the process in use.
