Windows compatibility and installation
Windows x64. Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is required.
Unzip the complete archive, keep the exiftool folder beside MetaClean.exe, and run MetaClean.exe.

Privacy and limitations
Processing happens locally, without telemetry or file uploads.
PDF metadata edits may be incremental and recoverable. A clean scan does not prove secure PDF sanitization or anonymization. Do not rely on MetaClean to remove confidential text, images or earlier PDF revisions.
DOCX, XLSX and PPTX are inspection-only. HEIC/HEIF cleaning depends on the bundled engine.
