Allkinds aims to help people discover and build all kinds of meaningful relationships. We see the world with more people having such connections.
Despite the presence of numerous solutions in the market, the issue of loneliness is worsening. Having a Facebook 'friend' does not equate to having a genuine friend, and Tinder-like matches often fail to lead to sustainable relationships. People spend too much time on social media and dating services, yet they only establish shallow connections. As a result, around one third of the global population considers themselves either lonely, left out, or lacking meaningful relationships.
Among the most common issues why these solutions fail are:
- people match on shallow artificial factors (like movies, travelling, etc.) or images that don't a lot about person
- people show off their best versions online (people afraid to be judged)
- people are afraid to speak up freely on sensitive topics
- people don't trust the existing solutions in terms of privacy and keeping their data safe
- these solutions are retention oriented and actually don't want to solve the problem.
Allkinds is a web3 social network and a protocol.
On Allkinds people connect by anonymously asking and answering each other yes/no questions about what ever they consider important. Then people can discover those whose answers resonate the most and connect. Once connected people can compare their answers thus learning a lot about each other.
Allkinds solution is implemented as a webapp on the Internet Computer blockchain platform. We use blockchain technology to provide people with these features:
- Decentralization guarantees the security of people's data and ensures that individuals own their data
- We envision Allkinds as pure DAO when people own and govern the platform
- It allows to issue Allkinds token and build a self-sustainable platform.

When we meet new people, we begin by asking questions. Based on their answers, we determine whether it makes sense to continue the relationship or not. On Allkinds, it's quite similar:
- People can anonymously ask yes/no questions on topics they consider important.
- They answer not only their own questions but also questions from others, indicating the importance of each question.
- Allkinds calculates the cohesion score between any users (accounts) as a percentage of shared answers to the same questions, weighted by the importance indicated by each person.
- This way, people can discover those who resonate more (or less), connect, and eventually meet in person.
The more questions are answered the more precise search on people is. When connected people can also compare their answers again each other thus learning a lot about each other.
When we discuss digital identities in the web3 world, in most cases, we think about elements such as KYC, digital signatures, medical records, work history, badges, achievements, and confirmations of completed tasks, among others.
On the other hand, Digital Personality Identity (DPI) is entirely centered around an individual's opinions on various topics. It reflects their values, interests, and insights — essentially, their personality.
As users ask and answer questions, they build their personality profiles by generating and annotating data. The more answers they provide, the more precise and detailed their DPIs become.
People have the ability to review, modify, or delete their profiles. They can update their answers, adjust the importance assigned to questions, and add new questions as well. What's more important - DPI profile can be compared against any other profile. Thus people can discover those who resonate more.
Using an NLP engine can enhance the system with these benefits:
- By semantically understanding questions and answers, we can create an additional dimension of data for DPIs, thus making it even richer
- A recommendation system for questions would provide people with more relevant questions based on their DPIs. It would also help eliminate duplicate questions
- Displaying cohesion scores for different categories of questions.
There definitely will be more cases on how using ML algorithms can enhance the system in future.
As we resonate more with some people, we also resonate with places. For instance, we may prefer a particular cafe for something special about it compared to another. A DIY bar with an open mic is not the same as a pub where one can come and support its local football team. Each place can have its own DPI, representing its values and qualities, and attracting those who resonate with it. The DPI for an entity is calculated as the average of answers and importances of all its members.
While we have already been working on a few entities, new ones are always welcome in the future. Any member of Allkinds can create the following entities:
Team is a group of people united mostly on a business purpose. It can be a business, a startup, a department within a company and so on.
Allkinds.Teams allows team members see how they resonate with their colleagues and create more meaningful connections within the team. These are the main characteristics of a Team:
- It's not listed (private) and requires an invitation link to join
- Created data (questions) 'belongs' to the Team
- Any team member can:
- see aggregate stats on answers to the questions he responded to
- see the team common stats (number of members, questions, answers, connections)
- Team Creator can remove people from the team as well as delete any questions
A tribe is any group of people united by something, whether it's family, friends, or basketball players on the same court. We all belong to different tribes.
Allkinds.Tribes enables people within a group to learn more about each other on a deeper level. These are the main characteristics of a Tribe:
- Tribe can be private (invitation only) or public
- Tribe can not be owned, it's not administered other than by members of the tribe through proposals
- Tribe can not issue invites.
A place can be any physical entity with a geolocation that can be confirmed by the creator of the place. It could be a café, shop, hostel, bar, restaurant, a bench in the park, or even a city.
Allkinds.Places allows people to discover Places that resonate with them more. Places at the same time get 'the right' audience. These are the main characteristics of a Place:
- Place has a geographical location
- One can join a Place thus Places has it's own community (Tribe)
- Place can change answers and remove questions for it's DPI
- Place can remove members from the Place
- Place can create an Event
- Place can issue invites.
An event is a brief happening scheduled for a specific time and place. It could be a conference, hackathon, coding boot camp, gig, fair-market, open-air festival, or any other type of gathering.
Allkinds.Events enables its members to quickly discover and meet 'the right people at any Event.' Additionally, it provides a platform for individuals to express themselves on the topic of the Event. These are the main characteristics of an Event:
- Event has start and end date
- Event can be open or private
- Event's creator can remove members from the Event and delete it's own questions (TBD)
- Event can be removed by it's creator
- Event can happen at a registered Place or have a proved geolocation
- Event can issue invites.
We consider this scope for the next iteration of Allkinds development:
We plan to implement an invitation-only system for Allkinds. Currently, we are considering a system with a limited number of invites available to each member within a specific season. Once an invite is accepted, the invitee receives a reward. Invites can be issued by both individuals, Places and Teams.
An invitation system aims to:
- Increase the chances of building a community of early adopters interested and engaged in shaping the future of the project
- In general build a strong community
- Organic growth while minimising marketing costs
- Reduce the amount of non-human accounts.
If you've used various messengers, you might have noticed that many of them can be 'noisy' with a large number of contacts, channels, groups, etc. Allkinds aims to offer a fully distributed, secure messenger with only your meaningful and trustful connections – a messenger where you can interact with people from your real-world connections.
While all members of Allkinds mint coins by asking and answering questions, they should also be able to freely transfer them to any other member. The Wallet allows for sending and receiving coins to and from any members and interacting with other wallets, etc.
Allkinds aims to help people meet in the real world. Geolocation features open a set of great possibilities:
- Questions should be sorted on locations or their authors
- Members can share their locations
- It enables discovering new connections in the real world
- Allkinds will reward members for meeting in the real world
- It enables Places entity.
While building a solution for people, we want them to have the ability to shape it. This can be achieved through proposals and voting. In the case of Allkinds, the interface with questions can make it more accessible for people to actively participate. (TBD).

While interacting with the solution people can perform two type of actions:
- add value to the system
- use computational power of the system.
The primary objective of the internal tokenomics is to establish and maintain sustainability of the solution.
When ever people add value to the system they get rewards in coins.
- Asking questions
Questions on Allkinds are among the most valuable assets, representing what matters to a particular individual. They are meaningful pieces of information created by real humans. Asking a question demands creative effort, involving self-reflection, contemplation, and thinking.
Therefore, each time a person asks a question, it create a valuable asset and mint a token.

Answering a question Once an individual answers a questions he expresses an opinion of a real person. Thus he creates a new valuable asset - personal opinion on a particular question and mints a token.

Inviting a new member
While opinions on questions expressed by anonymized individuals are valuable assets in themselves, the main driving force of the community is its people. Inviting a new person brings a new creative force to the system—an individual capable of generating fresh insights and connections. Of course, such contributions should be rewarded (although the number of invites may be limited)(TBD).
- More opportunities
While we can't foresee how people will contribute to the system in the future, we aim to implement a composable protocol that can adapt as needed.
Any time people interact with the system, it requires some amount of resources. Here is a list of the most resource-intensive operations that can incur charges. People can spend coins on:
- Search for people or other entities
- Create different entities (Place, Tribes, Events, etc.)
- Use for indicating importance (these coins go to the author of the question).

We envision Allkinds not just as a standalone platform but also as a protocol accessible by external services. Wherever cohesion between people in terms of values is essential, Allkinds can provide incredible value.
We see these main features for the protocol:
- registration/authentication with Allkinds account (based on the the Internet Identity)
- maintaining DPIs with its social graph
- accessibility of DPIs through API by any web2 or web3 services
- composable architecture.
We see Allkinds a pure DAO owned and managed by it's members. We are also looking for people who can help with this part of the project. Please, reach out.
We are planning on issuing a (All)Kin(s) token. As it was mentioned already essentially Kin coin is backed up a valuable asset - people's opinion on different topics. Allkinds members might be able to sell it in future as aggregate data preserving privacy if they decide so.

Ultimately Allkinds introduces a new standard of data about people - its' personality. We see the world where more and more people maintains his own Digital Personality Identity profile and applies it whenever the cohesion in terms of values is essential.
Allkinds aims to be a self-sustainable not for a profit platform owned and managed by its members.
Allkinds coin can be considered as a cryptocurrency where people mint it by creating valuable pieces of information. They can also freely exchange coins between each other.

We've been developing the second version of Allkinds. We've received a $5K grant from Dfinity that includes these milestones:
- Complete rebuild of the frontend (stepping away from SvelteKit, eliminating technical debt)
- Implementing a new UX/UI
- Team members area:
- Landing and registration on the invitation link
- Implementation of a new navigation, removing ‘traditional’ menu
- Change ‘Search for people’ screen to a sorted by a cohesion score list of all team members. Adding statuses for invitations, etc.
- Changes in the ‘My contacts’ screen
- Changes in the ‘My profile’ (including feature to review, re-answer, skip questions)
- Complete redesign of the ‘My settings’ screen

Internet Identity is a login provider similar to "Login with Google", but it does not track you or give us personal information about you. Allkinds uses the Internet Identity for authenticating people.

Yes. Create a new Internet Identity. If your device has a biometric scanner - choose Create a passcode and provide your finger scanner or faceid.
You can use pin code also.

This format allows to compare people's answers and calculate the cohesion score. In future we might come to open questions too.
This reflects how important this question to you. The question with importance x2 equals two responded questions. x5 - 5 questions.
The cohesion score shows how you resonate with the person. The higher the score - the more in common you've got with this person. It calculates as a percentage of the same answers to the same questions. Importances of questions are being taken into account.
At the moment it doesn't. We're planning to implement self-moderation system. People will be able to downvote and report questions.
Teams are any groups of people. At the moment everyone can create a Team and invite other people to the team. Thus people can discover like-minded people within this team.
Yes. Click on your nickname and at you profile you can respond to any question again.
Balance reflects your contribution to the platform. You've got 100 coins welcome bonus. You earn +1 point for responding a question, and +5 for creating a question. Also when people increase importance of the questions you've created you get the same amount of coins (from 1 to 5). In future Allkinds coins will become a token. People will be able to exchange it or use on the platform.
Find a person at Discover screen and get to his/her profile by clicking on its name. There you can request to connect with person.
Go to your contact list. There will be listed all incoming requests. You can accept or reject a request.
You can see the total amount of questions within the group by clicking on the Team logo which leads to the Team info page.
New questions appear as people ask them. Depending on the size of the team it can be a few every day.
