8 tools (6 keyless): live mid-market rates with a key, official rates from 121 central banks + 3 tax authorities, the Daily Reference Rate (16:00 London), and self-issued trial keys.

This release (docs only, no behaviour change)

  • README: test the server with MCP Inspector
  • Example prompts for every tool
  • Security note for the hosted ?api_key= URL
  • ChatGPT FAQ (works via the hosted endpoint) and the 401 error row corrected
  • History is consistently documented as paid-plan

Since v0.3.3 (the previous GitHub release)

  • 0.7.4: keyless get_exchange_rate falls back from the ECB to the issuing central bank (USD/GBP, USD/INR, …)
  • 0.7.0: get_reference_rate and request_trial_key
  • 0.6.0: keyless list_central_banks and get_official_rates
  • 0.5.0: keyless mode — the server starts and answers without an API key
