Authorization and Identity Service Design

The authorization and identity service has been designed to achieve separation between the three main components:

  • Command Line Interface
  • HTTP and Database Functionality
  • Authorization and Identity Service

Command Line Interface

The command line interface has been designed to be the primary interface for developers to interact with the authorization and identity service. This is used to start or configure the service.

Application Core

The authorization service is designed as a CRUD application. To provide a base to build the application on, the core functionality required for a CRUD application was designed separately from the authorization service. This core functionality includes adding, listening, and serving HTTP requests, connecting to databases and creating database schemas. This design allows for the core functionality to be re-used in other CRUD applications.

Authorization and Identity Service

The authorization and identity service is built on top of the Application Core and provides an OAuth2 service along with registration and login endpoints.
