Express Controller Design

The Express Controller provides the command line interface for developers to deploy, update and tear down their application containers. This controller is responsible for automatically reconfiguring the Express system giving developers the ability to rapidly deploy and update applications without the need to create or maintain configuration files.

Commands

The automatic configuration of these four components is handled through four operations that developers can perform on the gateway controller.

  1. Deploy
  2. List
  3. Update
  4. Teardown

Configuration Parsing

To allow deployed application to expose endpoints to the public, endpoints configuration files must be parsed. Parsing these files must produce a set of Ingress configurations to configure the NGINX Ingress controller.
