Codex Session Sidebar 0.5.2 (pre-release)

First public pre-release for macOS Apple Silicon, maintained by Allen and licensed under MIT.

Browse local Codex sessions by activity or project, search and organize the list, and continue conversations in the official Codex interface. English is the default; Simplified Chinese is available in settings. Completion notifications are optional.

Install the pre-release from the Visual Studio Marketplace, or install the attached darwin-arm64.vsix in VS Code. Requires VS Code 1.95 or later and the official Codex extension.

Validation for this release:

• 207 automated tests passed, plus three browser suites with 59 screenshots.
• The exported source installed dependencies, passed checks and tests, and rebuilt a VSIX with identical package contents.
• GitHub Actions passed for commit a952fff9d1cdafbd675513c49bc57eb46cd4d34b.
• A real macOS notification was displayed and clicked, producing one callback and one target URI receipt in an isolated VS Code window. Session data and the target receiver were fixtures; opening a real official Codex conversation after that click remains unverified.

Clean-machine installation and Windows, Linux, and Intel Mac device testing remain unverified. The native notification helper is ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized. See the validation record for evidence and limits.

The attached source ZIP contains the reviewed public source. SHA256SUMS covers both attached archives. If upgrading from the allen-local preview, follow the migration instructions before installing.
