DateParser Kotlin 0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@Alox1d Alox1d released this 15 Oct 09:52

DateParser Kotlin 0.1.2 adds a deterministic calendar rule for the first Monday of next month, with the equivalent form for every full English weekday name.

  • Accept optional the, first or 1st, and case-insensitive weekday names.
  • Resolve from day 1 of the next calendar month in the reference timezone. Keep the reference clock unless an explicit time is supplied.
  • Preserve reminder titles, including month-like names such as May. Recognized unsupported ordinal/recurring variants are rejected instead of returning partial matches.
  • Add eight shared regression tests and a separate published-artifact consumer regression. next Friday remains supported, with a current Friday skipped.
  • Update English/Russian documentation and the runnable KMP consumer. Public API and platform requirements are unchanged.

For reference 2024-02-28T10:15:00Z in UTC, Pay rent on the first Monday of next month at 5PM resolves to 2024-03-04T17:00:00Z with title Pay rent.

All five KMP modules are available from Maven Central; all 28 public PGP signatures were verified. Published platform binaries match the tested CI artifacts, and the 12 common source files match this release commit. Validation on the release commit: JVM 77/77, Android host 80/80 and iOS simulator 77/77. A separate Maven-artifact KMP consumer passed 12 tests on each platform; iOS device compilation and the complete publication checks passed. • Add English named dates in US and European order, month abbreviations, ordinals and four-digit years; ISO and slash dates with explicit DateOrder for ambiguous inputs.
  • Recognize attached/spaced AM/PM, today, yesterday, bare weekdays and next week/month/year. Explicit AM/PM clocks now zero omitted minutes and seconds.
  • Keep compound duration and recurrence expressions together while preserving independent expressions and reminder words.
  • Fix range end calendar inheritance, overnight clocks and DST boundary consistency. Reject inverted explicit ranges and unsupported relative range ends.
  • Fix reminder text around separators and punctuation on numeric tokens; scope relative offsets to their owning dates.
  • Reject non-positive recurrence and add shared regression tests plus separate JVM, Android and iOS published-artifact consumer checks.
  • Preserve existing DateParser.parse, ParseOptions and DateMatch signatures. Android API 26+, JVM Java 8+ and KMP iOS targets remain supported.

Maven Central: io.github.alox1d:dateparser-kotlin:0.1.1

Validation: 69 shared tests on JVM and iOS, 72 Android host tests, six published-artifact consumer tests per platform. All five Maven variants, 28 public signatures, unchanged public API signatures and Java 8 bytecode were verified. JVM/Android consumers also passed using Maven Central only; published Android/JVM/iOS binaries match the tested CI artifacts.
