v2.10.0
found-issues was installed in Codex on the author's own machine for months
with no hook ever firing: ~/.codex/hooks.json held none of its entries,
nothing said so, and Codex sessions never logged an issue. This release
makes Codex a first-class harness and makes the gap impossible to miss.
Added
- Stop nudge on Codex.
install-codex-hooksnow registers
stop-reminder.shfor Codex's Stop event. Codex's Stop payload carries
the final reply aslast_assistant_message(thestop.command.input
schema in Codex 0.159), so the marker check needs no transcript parsing —
the reason it was left out before. Same discipline as Claude: at most one
block per session, only on a turn that made a tool call, answered with
{"decision":"block","reason":...}. doctorhas a Codex section: found-issues installed in Codex but its
hooks never wired, wired at stale paths after a plugin update, or wired
but not yet trusted through Codex's/hooksreview (Codex silently skips
untrusted entries).- Claude sessions say once a day when the Codex install has no hooks,
since doctor is usually run from Claude.
Fixed
- The format enforcer reads Codex edits. Codex edits files through
apply_patch(patch envelope intool_input.command, nofile_path), so
aWrite|Edit|MultiEditmatcher never saw a Codex ledger edit. The Codex
matcher now includesapply_patch, and the enforcer validates the added
lines of every hunk that targets the ledger. install-codex-hooksends with the/hookstrust step instead of the
outdated "no Stop hook" note; setup, README and AGENTS.md say the same.
