Release list
V1.4.4
Version 1.4.4
- Added an auto-updater to replace the one inherited from UITools.
- Improved the orbit targetting feature: the game will now propose a more natural orbit when the player intends to perform an insertion in circular orbit.
- Improved the formula used for quasi-parabolic trajectories in the Lambert solver
V1.4.3
Compatibility update
- ANAIS is now fully compatible with SFS 1.6 (fixes the velocity arrow)
- Rewrote the orbit rendering algorithm - should now work with VerdiX optimization mod
- Moved the icon to my personal github repository since imgur is apparently banned for some countries (credits to @RoshanGamer7791 for the initial fix)
- Rewrote the Lambert solver for optimization and multi-turn management (unused for now - this is for a later version!)
V1.4.2
Minor fixes and improvements:
- The mod will let you enter a target altitude in the panel, even if no planet is selected. This troubled many players in the past.
- Smoothed the variations of the delta-V arrow - it tends to wobble for small values due to numerical precision issues
- The mod restores Vanilla behaviour for planets with no direction set: they are fixed instead of orbiting. Most navigation features implying those planets are disabled though. Since they don't follow astrodynamics laws, ANAIS can't calculate relevant trajectories for those.
V1.4.1
Minor bugs fixed:
- The transfer prediction wasn't returning the optimal transfer in some very rare situations
- The return to planet trajectory was slightly imprecise for a ship that was at the apoapsis of an elliptic trajectory
V1.4.0
New update:
- major overhaul of return to planet trajectories: they are much more relevant and accurate now.
- added the possibility to select a target altitude from the ANAIS panel to aim for a custom orbit
- Performance improved: up to 40% less time needed for a transfer calculation
- Added a few improvements and QoL
V1.3.2
Bug fix: the calculations could crash when the player was on a nearly rectilinear orbit. This was caused by the closest approach lines calculation.
The whole code has been made more robust to such events.
V1.3.1: Tweaks/optimization
This release improves the transfer calculation by not considering arrival dates for which the transfer is stupidly expensive. Those transfers were not viable, difficult to calculate and could cause the whole calculation to fail.
Though ANAIS is very stable, some errors were reported. This release allows to catch errors and avoids stopping the process, which should remove most of the annoyance it caused.
With this update, ANAIS will now generate a log file in case of errors, so that they can be reported easily.
V1.3.0
Update V1.3.0: Addition of the control panel
This version adds a control panel to give more control to the player over the algorithm, as well as more options:
- ANAIS now calculates transfers in rendez-vous mode, or in fly-by mode. The rendez-vous mode is the usual one, the fly-by mode is more appropriate for gravity assists in particular.
- Approach lines: the player can set the maximum number of turns over which to look for approach opportunities
As a result the display is also cleaner since it allows the player to select what he/she wants to show.
If you don't know how it works, don't worry, the control panel comes with a bunch of tooltips that explains carefully how it works.
V1.2.0
This release adds multithreading and allows ANAIS to run its calculations in a separate thread. This has two advantages:
- ANAIS originally ran at the game frequency before, now it runs at its own frequency. This avoids to increase the calculation time when the fps increase.
- ANAIS's calculations can be heavy. This Allows them to run on a separate core, thus saving resources for the main program
The targetting algorithm has also been improved:
- What's shown in the map view and the ship view is now more consistent
- The algorithm now detects gravity assists and allows the player to plan their trajectory to their next target
- Some small QoL improvements to try to simplify the informations given by ANAIS that can be quite confusing in some situations
Compatibility update for SFS V1.5.10.2
The mod is updated to be compatible with the 1.5.10.2 version of SFS.
Also introduces a few improvements/optimizations.
