If you had issues with the previous pip version, clean up and reinstall:

Remove old version

pip3 uninstall commit-checker -y --break-system-packages
rm -rf ~/.commit-checker
sed -i '' '/commit-checker/d' ~/.zshrc

Install new standalone version
