Claude Code session-id binding via SessionStart hook. Pitstop has been silently failing to bind to the CC session for the entire project lifetime. v0.3.43's "fix" assumed CLAUDE_CODE_SESSION_ID was set on MCP server subprocesses; today's CC release notes clarified the env var is exposed to Bash tool subprocesses only, not MCP. The drawer's CLAUDE# UNBOUND chip has been the canonical signal — pokes never woke any agent because there was no session id to resume. v0.3.49 cross-session rebind has been a no-op for the same reason.
New packages/scripts/pitstop-session-id.sh SessionStart hook reads session_id from CC's JSON stdin and writes ~/.claude/pitstop/cc-session-$PPID.txt.
New packages/mcp-adapter/src/session-id.ts resolves the id per RPC call: env var → hook file (by process.ppid) → most-recently-modified .jsonl in ~/.claude/projects/<encoded-cwd>/ as a zero-config fallback for users who haven't run setup.
Per-call resolution pairs with the daemon's existing rebind logic so a CC restart with a new session id flows through immediately.
Forwarder takes a resolveClientSessionId function instead of a static clientSessionId.
Setup
bun run setup now installs the SessionStart hook into ~/.claude/settings.json alongside the existing UserPromptSubmit hook. Existing installs need to re-run setup or restart CC for the hook to fire.
