git-recall 1.6.1

@AmmaarBakshi AmmaarBakshi released this 28 Sep 18:18
  • Fix the -mk example in --help: the > must be quoted (git recall --day '>' -mk out.txt), otherwise the shell redirects to a file named -mk.
  • README updated for 1.6.0 (what each range covers, file export, Windows troubleshooting, error reference).

git-recall 1.6.0

@AmmaarBakshi AmmaarBakshi released this 27 Sep 18:02

Bug fixes and performance:

  • Strip terminal control characters from commit subjects/authors (escape-sequence injection)
  • Include the whole first day of the lookback window (bare --since dates used the current time of day)
  • Fall back to 1970-01-01 when the lookback date is out of range (e.g. --year -100)
  • Enable ANSI colors on legacy Windows consoles; color stderr independently of stdout
  • Restore the console code page on exit on Windows
  • Report write failures instead of claiming success
  • No more repeated day headers after rebases / cross-timezone commits (dates now in local time)
  • Faster output: fully buffered writes, skip per-commit GPG signature checks
