Special Configurations
Compared with Tassadar's, my distribution has added some specified options. Please read them carefully.
This option determines the usage of Keymaster, an ENTRY for decryption in many devices especially Qualcomm's.
If set true, Keymaster will be applied to MultiROM, and libcryptfslollipop (the encryption module which trampoline_encmnt uses to decrypt your data partition) will call it when attempt to decrypt.
If set false, your MultiROM will not implement Keymaster, and encryption will not work in many cases. Only consider it if your device is not encrypted!
Specifics path to Keymaster module. You MUST specify it if MR_USE_KEYMASTER = true.
Usually their names are keymaster.{platform name}.so. Platform name is defined by your vendor, you can query it by executing this command on your device:
getprop ro.board.platform
For example, if it returns "msm8952", then usually the library filename is keymaster.msm8952.so.
You can find it in your device's library dir(s), and usually it is in one of those folders:
- /system/lib64/hw
- /system/lib/hw
- /vendor/lib64/hw
- /vendor/lib/hw
If you found it, just export it to your device configuration folder, and specify this MultiROM option.
This option tells if MR_FSTAB is a Qualcomm's vendor fstab or not. If true, it probes that the fstab file you specified in MR_FSTAB is a Qualcomm fstab.
Qualcomm devices' fstab are written in it's own format, especially those devices with encryption support. Trampoline should better read it instead of normal fstab file (e.g. recovery.fstab), or it will be unable to find data partitions.
Before applying this option, you'd better pull the fstab file (e.g. fstab.qcom) from your device's ROOTFS, then configure MR_FSTAB. Of course, you can also write your own fstab refer to Qualcomm's comment in fstab.qcom.
If MR_USE_QCOM_SPECIFIED_FSTAB = true, you MUST specify this option.
Specifies path to another fstab file, which is used to extract BOOTDEV info (aka., the dev path to your boot partition). Notice, this file should be written in normal grammar like recovery.fstab, because currently, MultiROM's automatic script still cannot parse fstabs written in Qualcomm's format.
Bootdev info is necessary in MultiROM's installation.
Cryptfs is the main decryption module which trampoline_encmnt invokes, so its debug info is important for checking if encryption support works well, and finding out problems.
If this option sets true, cryptfs's debug info will be printed in trampoline_encmnt's kernel log. You can just use dmesg to check it out. For better debugging experience, we recommend to turn it on.
NOTICE! This option is for debug purpose only --- To test trampoline_encmnt in booted Android environment.
If set true, those automatically-copied keystore modules (keystore.default.so from /mrom_enc to /system/lib(64)/hw) will be kept in /system/lib(64)/hw, not being removed. So you can manually test trampoline_encmnt in your Android terminal directedly without manually copy the keystore lib all the time.
Don't worry. This feature won't affect system's true keystore modules (keystore.{platform name}.so), as they are named after platform name, and formal system can only recognize them.
