The history writer thread could write a test's last runs into its
QUERYAPIGATE_HOME while the directory was being removed, failing the
cleanup with "Directory not empty" - intermittently (CI, Python 3.10).
tests/__init__.py makes every TemporaryDirectory flush this process's
queued runs before it is removed, so no test can hit it.
