Data files

  • HDF5 (.h5) as an alternative to CSV in csv_opener_saver, chosen by file extension. Header parameters stored as typed attributes, axis units preserved.
  • File dialogs remember the last-opened folder; multi-select open, latin1-tolerant reading, name_filters for the open dialog.
  • Bruker native file reader.

Math modules

  • FFT: zero-order auto-phase, auto_phase_zero_echo, carrier_offset.
  • scipy and pyqtgraph imports deferred to point of use for faster startup.

GUI and plotting

  • Shared Fusion-based dark styling (gui_style), redesigned icon set, Linux desktop integration.
  • Faster pyqtgraph rendering with a non-blocking coalescing worker; curve palette, 2D colormap modes, log-spaced autoscale, ruler and cross-hair improvements.
  • LivePlot: thread-safe client, single GIL-releasing copy into shared memory, fixed meta/array mispairing between plots, render exceptions guarded, child stdout line-buffered.

Device modules

  • Insys FPGA: partial-range readout with incremental 2D plotting, host-processing optimisations with a background thread, optional 0.8 ns AWG timing step, hardened teardown.
  • Spectrum M4I: PLL relock guard, AWG clock output / digitizer reference to 1 GHz, WURST/SECH frequency redefine fix, correct Clock Out divider documentation.
  • Renamed digitizer_iq → digitizer_demodulate (and oscilloscope_iq → oscilloscope_demodulate); digitizer_decimation now boxcar-averages.
  • Pulser and AWG modules: merging of AWG pulses, PB_ESR_500_pro update.
  • New/updated: Sibir_1 NMR gaussmeter, ITC_FC (PID period, fast/accurate settling), Cryomech CPA1110, Scientific Instruments SCM10, Cryomagnetics LM510, Lakeshore corrections, SR lock-in data buffer and capture, Keysight scope parameter path fix.
  • Safe exit for PCIe devices; more robust PCI device configuration.
  • BaseDevice / ModbusDevice base classes (Lakeshore 335, Owen, Termodat migrated); device config files named after the module.

Infrastructure

  • pytest suite: config utilities, general functions, device smoke tests, Lakeshore 335, Owen, Termodat.
  • Script-runner subprocesses spawned via sys.executable; xdg-open on Linux; load_scripts survives a missing tests/ directory.
  • In-tree documentation mirrored from the atomize_docs site; all script examples run in test mode.
  • New dependency: h5py>=3.8.
