AmiMAIL 2.3.0

@Andiweli Andiweli released this 09 Oct 23:45

Important

Starting with the next version (3.0), AmiMAIL will be available exclusively on itch.io as a paid product.
A great deal of time and effort has gone into this project, and in return, you get a product that has become highly refined.
The program will continue to be free here and on Aminet, but only in the existing version 2.3.0 without any further updates, which is more than sufficient for basic needs. However, if you would like to support my work and future development, you can purchase this paid version on itch.io where you will receive future updates.

Sunday Update

  • File attachments have previously been listed as "File attachments," as expected. However, if images were embedded in an email (HTML email), the HTML parser would "extract" them. This update adds all embedded images* in an email as downloadable items under the heading "Embedded graphics."

  • Furthermore, the 10-file limit has been removed. You can now attach as many files as will fit within a 20 MB attachment limit.

* excluding linked embedded graphics loaded from servers

  • Added DST-aware TZONE/TZ handling for sent and displayed dates
  • Made email addresses in previews clickable like mailto: links
  • Restored native ListBrowser multi-selection and Shift selection
  • Fixed Reply split-button arrow rendering and state transitions

Reply Hotfix

  • Previously, replied-to emails were not marked as such on the IMAP server; this has now been fixed.
  • Additionally, AmiMAIL now indicates in the bottom-left corner whether an email has already been replied to. Since IMAP cannot store timestamps for this, the information is stored within AmiMAIL (though only for emails replied to using AmiMAIL).

Date Hotfix

A subtle, hidden bug was discovered that failed to convert the sender's transmission timestamp to the current time. This could result in messages appearing to be from the future if the email correspondent was in a time zone with a +7-hour offset.
