Performance Tweak Release

1.6.1

  • Added linear chunky rendering with P96 double buffering for smoother, tear-free gameplay.
  • Significantly accelerated title screens, intermissions and other static P96 graphics.
  • Reworked P96 menus with a native Bigfont glyph cache for much faster opening and navigation.
  • Added direct IFF-to-P96 image composition, reducing unnecessary planar conversions.
  • Restored the animated intermission typewriter text with faster ENTER skipping.

  • Fixed several P96 usability issues, including right mouse button crashes, screen title flickering.
  • improved overall stability across Gloom Classic.
