Major Features
Detailed requirements are managed as Epics, Features, and User Stories in GitHub Issues and tracked through the GitHub Project Board.
Students authenticate using a Stevens-managed account. The application rejects accounts that do not satisfy the configured Stevens email-domain requirements and maintains a secure authenticated session.
Authenticated users can create a campus event by providing a title, description, category, location, date, and time. Hosts can update or cancel events they created.
Users can view campus events through a location-first map interface. Event results are limited according to the visible map area and selected date.
Users can open an event to view its details and attendance information. Eligible users can join or leave an event.
Hosts can create public events or link-only events. Link-only events are accessible only through a valid shared link and are not displayed in public map results.
Users can view applicable events from yesterday, today, and tomorrow through date-navigation controls.
Hosts can review basic engagement information, including event views and participant counts.
The project includes automated builds, tests, database migrations, issue tracking, and deployment through GitHub Actions and the selected hosting services.
