FuScript Integration for BBEdit on MacOS
What's New in V1.1?
Better error handling is provided in the AppleScripts to let you know when launching a .lua script that the FuScript process can't connect to an active Fusion GUI session.
The documentation has been updated to include details on how to set up custom hotkey mappings in BBEdit so you can quickly and easily run the Fusion Script Terminal From BBEdit script.
Also details are included on how to configure BBEdit "Language" definitions for the following Fusion file formats so they are displayed with Lua syntax highlighting:
- .fuse
- .fu
- .comp
- .setting
- .eyeonscript

Fusion Studio needs to be running for the FuScript tool to function correctly. The fusion:, fu:, app:, and comp: pointers are configured and the active Fusion comp is linked to automatically. This means you are instantly capable of connecting to the foreground Fusion composite or able to create a Fusion UI Manger based script GUI.
Included AppleScripts
- Fusion Script Terminal From BBEdit.scpt
- Fusion Script Terminal Interactive Shell.scpt
- Fusion Script Terminal With File Dialog.scpt
