Changes
- Replaced the hypervisor setup screen's Windows Features button with step-by-step instructions for enabling Windows Hypervisor Platform manually and restarting Windows. The Check again button remains available.
- Removed the launcher IPC action that opened Windows Features.
- Retains the 1.0.0 performance improvements, automatic clock selection, tracking and velocity fixes, emulator shutdown prompt, and maximum Android media volume on startup.
Downloads
Install AXRB-Setup-1.0.1.exe.
The separate OVRPort-CLI-1.2.5-experimental-5e7df52.jar attachment comes from the Android-XR-Bridge/OVRPort fork. Select this JAR in the launcher's Settings; Java 8 or newer must be on PATH. This is the same tested CLI attached to AXRB 1.0.0. Its experimental VrApi adapter remains opt-in, not enabled by default.
Matching AXRB and OVRPort source archives, the OVRPort GPL license, and SHA-256 checksums are attached. OVRPort retains its own license. Native dependency notices are included in its JAR and source tree.
Validation
All 226 launcher tests passed. The packaged application version, manual setup instructions, removal of the Windows Features action, and runtime manifest hashes were checked. OVRPort's patch catalog and compatibility-profile interface were checked through the launcher; its unchanged build previously passed all 25 CLI tests.
This is a launcher update using the existing native runtime components. No new headset gameplay test was performed.
AXRB 1.0.0
AXRB 1.0.0 for Windows, built from windows-android16 at 1adb14da0b8e9bd6eba2f48eda8aa5076f17bb55.
Install
Download AXRB-Setup-1.0.0.exe and run it. This rebuild includes the recent generic performance improvements, automatic guest-clock selection, tracking and velocity fixes, and the prompt to stop a running emulator when closing the launcher.
Android's media volume is now set to its reported maximum on emulator startup. Adjust listening volume through Windows or your headset. Restart an already-running emulator to apply this change.
OVRPort CLI
Download OVRPort-CLI-1.2.5-experimental-5e7df52.jar and select it as the OVRPort CLI in the launcher's Settings. It requires Java 8 or newer on PATH and is attached separately from the installer.
Built from the Android-XR-Bridge/OVRPort fork at 5e7df52, using JDK 21, Android NDK 27.3.13750724 and gradlew.bat :overportcli:test :overportcli:shadowJar -PwithVrApi=true. The experimental VrApi-to-OpenXR adapter is included but its patch remains opt-in and is not recommended by default. Its presence does not establish full game compatibility.
The matching OVRPort source archive and GPL license are attached. Dependency notices for the native compatibility resources are included in the JAR and source tree. OVRPort retains its own license; AXRB's custom scoped license does not apply to it.
Validation
- 226 launcher tests passed; 25 OVRPort tests passed.
- All 30 packaged runtime manifest hashes verified, including the updated startup script.
- Attached CLI tested through AXRB's patch catalog and compatibility-profile interface.
- Existing native performance, tracking and velocity components are retained. This rebuild changes the startup script and does not rebuild those native components.
- No new headset gameplay or audible-output validation was performed for this release. Performance varies by game; prior benchmark figures are not a universal guarantee.
AXRB source and SHA-256 checksums for all attached artifacts are included. See the source archive's LICENSE and launcher/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for the scoped AXRB, GPL and third-party terms.
