v1.2.1 — Dependency Modernization
This patch release modernizes the MCP, calendar, astronomy, build, test, and security dependency stack without adding or changing the public MCP surface or calculation algorithms.
Highlights
- MCP Python SDK 1.29.0 with current and legacy protocol initialization coverage.
- Chinese calendar and astronomy upgrades protected by exact pre-upgrade golden fixtures.
- Bundled DE421 data for offline installed-artifact calculations.
- Standard CPython 3.11–3.14 support, with full tests on every version.
- Native-uv Dependabot, frozen lock validation, vulnerability audit, and dependency review.
- No known vulnerabilities in the frozen release graph.
The installed surface remains exactly 20 tools, 5 prompts, and 5 resources.
Deliberate deferrals
- MCP 2.0 requires a separate protocol/API migration and is excluded by the v1 constraint.
zhdateremains at 0.1 because PyPI's advertised 1.0 metadata is not resolvable.- Python 3.14 free-threaded builds are not included in this patch's support guarantee.
See CHANGELOG.md for the complete dependency, compatibility, and security notes.
