MiSTer Main v0.7 – Physical CD Support

Supported Systems

  • PlayStation (PSX)
  • Mega CD
  • More systems coming soon

Mega CD

  • Full-speed physical disc support through /dev/sr0
  • Supports Mode 1 data tracks and physical CD audio
  • Uses raw 2352-byte sector reads
  • Uses two 16-sector low-latency read caches
  • Supports MMC READ CD commands with packets of up to 32 sectors
  • Asynchronous read-ahead worker can use both ARM CPU cores
  • Requests the maximum supported drive speed

PlayStation

  • Gameplay is nearly fluid
  • FMV and audio may still stutter
