MiSTer Main v1.0.0 – Physical CD Support
Physical-disc compatibility and performance have been drastically improved across all supported systems.
PlayStation performance has received major improvements, with FMV playback now running stutter-free during testing. Physical-disc handling, caching, read-ahead, drive latency, and recovery behavior have also been improved across the project.

- Philips CD-i continues to use the included experimental fork because the stable core does not work correctly with physical discs
- The latest unstable 3DO core is included because it is currently the only version that works with physical discs
Known Issues
- 3DO may restart its BIOS one or two times before booting the game
- The 3DO core itself is still unstable, so additional compatibility or stability issues may occur
- Philips CD-i may require a reset from the core OSD menu when the core starts before physical-disc initialization has completed
- TurboGrafx-16 CD / PC Engine CD may require a reset from the core OSD menu when the core starts before physical-disc initialization has completed
- Saves are only working based on GameID with the PSX core this will be fixed.
Future Support
Jaguar CD and Amiga CD32 support are currently being investigated, but no promises can be made at this time.
Notes
If you still experience stuttering on PSX, set the Disc Speed at 1x (normal) in the core's OSD menu.
Installation
Extract the ZIP file to the root of your MiSTer SD card.
Add the following to MiSTer.ini:
