What's a Connector

Connectors are Annotopia extension points. These are Grails Plugins components that normally connect to external services and normalize the results in the Annotopia allowed formats. Examples of services can be: terms search, text mining, mashups, databases connections...

Connector main Service

Currently, connectors can implement one or more of the following interfaces:

• Vocabularies List
• Terms Search
• Text Mining

It is RECOMMENDED to implement one or more of the above interfaces in one single Grails Service. See BioPortalService or NifService.
