NextReset v0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@Anson2Dev Anson2Dev released this 30 Sep 18:31

A clearer budget dashboard and a more compact macOS interface.

  • See the total available budget beside a full reset countdown, with the reset date below it.
  • Compare 0–3 ticket plans directly; 💰 marks the recommended option.
  • Follow an upward forecast toward the reset flag: the ideal pace reaches zero remaining quota at reset. Your pace has a running-person marker and remaining-quota label.
  • Removed the buffer feature. Budgets now use all remaining quota plus 100% for each selected ticket.
  • Simplified Settings and Advanced, removed explanatory clutter, and tightened layout.
  • Handles missing pace, stale data, zero quota and early depletion; includes 12 passing tests and native visual previews.

Requires macOS 14+ and a signed-in Codex CLI. The Apple silicon ZIP is Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized, with a stapled ticket. Tickets are never redeemed automatically. Plans assume redemption does not move the natural reset; refresh after redeeming.

Install or update with Homebrew:

brew install --cask Anson2Dev/tap/nextreset
# Existing installations:
brew update && brew upgrade --cask nextreset

@Anson2Dev Anson2Dev released this 30 Sep 08:52

NextReset v0.2 adds a compact menu bar, quota headroom colors, and a new three-color ring identity.

  • Choose progress only (default), progress plus percentage, or progress plus percentage and bank tickets in Settings.
  • The center dot compares observed usage with the selected plan's daily budget: green for comfortable, amber for balanced, red for tight. Unknown and stale states remain explicit.
  • Updated app icon, dashboard logo and About artwork.
  • Apple silicon binary signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple, with the notarization ticket attached. Gatekeeper validation passed.

Requires macOS 14 or later and an installed, signed-in Codex CLI. Intel users can build from source.

Download the ZIP and move NextReset@TokenPark.app to Applications. SHA256SUMS.txt contains the checksum of the final notarized archive.

Validation: 9 automated tests passed; signed app successfully read live Codex quota; notarization, ticket validation and Gatekeeper checks passed.

Homebrew

brew install --cask Anson2Dev/tap/nextreset

Tap repository. Homebrew online audit, install, live quota read, notarization validation and uninstall checks passed.

Initial public release of NextReset@TokenPark v0.1, by Anson Ho.

A native macOS menu bar companion for Codex allowance, reset countdowns, daily usage planning, and reset tickets.

  • Live reset countdown and remaining allowance.
  • Zero-to-three-ticket plans, sampled usage pace, and optional expiry reminders.
  • Settings → About with author, website, email, GitHub, and MIT licensing.
  • Website: https://nextreset.tokenpark.org
  • Contact: anson@bestapp.us

Installation

Requires macOS 14+, Apple silicon, and a signed-in Codex CLI. Download NextReset-v0.1-macOS-arm64.zip, unzip, and move NextReset@TokenPark.app to Applications. Intel Macs can build from source.

This initial build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized. If macOS blocks it, review the source and then use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway if you trust the release. Developer ID signing is not included.

Ticket data depends on account/service availability. Recommendations are estimates; tickets are never redeemed automatically.

Verification

Seven core tests passed; the release binary passed local code-sign verification. SHA-256 checksum is attached. Source code is available under the MIT License.
