• Onboarding "Use API key" now takes a pasted key directly: masked input with provider auto-detect from the key prefix, validated against the provider, and stored owner-only under ~/.ante/auth (env vars still take precedence)
• On the API-key step with Anthropic selected, Tab signs in to the Anthropic Console in the browser and provisions an API key automatically — the key never touches the clipboard
• Compaction results are now visible: a collapsed * Compacted marker appears in the conversation (manual and auto compaction), with the full summary in the ctrl+o transcript view; CompactEnd now carries the summary text on the wire, and trimmed oversized tool results are reported with an info line

• Standalone ante update no longer panics with a broken pipe when its launcher closes stdout, and a closed pipe can no longer cancel an update
