Teams Command Centre

The Teams command centre is the operators' screen for setting up and running Teams rounds, and, with the NPC Vehicles & Soldiers module, the skirmishes and wars its bots fight. Almost everything that otherwise takes /teams commands can be done here with buttons, lists and fields.

Opening it

  • Press F7 (rebind it under Options → Controls → Flan's Mod Ultimate: General → Open Teams Command Centre). Press it again, or Esc, to close the screen.
  • Or type /teams admin or /teams gui.

It needs operator permission level 2. In single player, that means a world with cheats allowed.

How it works

Every change made in the screen runs the matching /teams command on the server, with your own permissions, exactly as if you had typed it. The command's answer appears in the status bar at the bottom of the screen instead of the chat; hover it to read every line when a command answered with several. Anything a command refuses, the screen refuses for the same reason.

The screen refreshes on its own every few seconds, so the round clock, scores and bot counts stay current. Text you are typing is kept while it refreshes. After a change succeeds, the fields of that page show the server's values again.

Destructive actions, such as removing a map with its rounds or stopping a skirmish, ask for confirmation first.

Pages

Page What it does
Overview The round being played with its clock, standings and score limit; next round, stop round, start the next round; Teams on or off; the operator kit. Until the first round can be played, a Getting started list shows what is missing, with a button for the next step.
Rotation The rounds in playing order. Start one now, queue it as the next round, move it earlier or later, change its length and score limit, choose its attackers (Domination and Conquest), or remove it. + New round opens a builder: pick the map and game type, then click teams onto up to four sides; teams on one side are allies. Rounds whose game type needs capture points their map does not have are flagged.
Maps Create a map in the dimension you are in, rename it, set its deployment image, and set or clear its playing area from two corners (Here fills in the block you stand in). + Round on this map opens the round builder with the map chosen.
Rules Every Teams rule as a switch, grouped into Protection and Combat, weapon drops, how long abandoned driveables last, the sea level, the arena and survival presets, and the score limit and variables of the game type being played.
Server Voting, the rounds generator, the length of each stage of the break between rounds, autobalance, the message of the day, the experience multiplier, the ranked loadout pool and bullet lag compensation.

With the NPC Vehicles & Soldiers module installed on the server, four more pages appear:

Page What it does
Factions Create managed factions, from scratch or from a Flan team, decide how they treat outsiders, join or leave one, declare war or make peace by clicking another faction, and add Flan teams as branches with their weight, infantry and roles.
Skirmishes Draft a skirmish, add sides where you stand, set its intent, end, respawn, tickets, difficulty and protection, then start, pause, resume or stop it; the sides' standings show while it is fought. Quick starts one between two factions where you look. Skirmishes can be saved as presets and drafted again here or where they were.
Wars Create a war, add its factions, choose the dimensions it is fought in and its rules, and start or stop it. The territory tab draws the chunks around you in the colours of the factions holding them, with the chunks being fought over outlined, and claims or frees chunks around you for a faction.
Bots For each round of the rotation: switch its bots on or off, apply a bot preset to it or to every round, open the bot editor, see how the bots of the round being played stand, and place, remove, show or clear the markers bots use on the round's map.

See Teams, Teams Bots and NPC Factions and Skirmishes for what each setting means.

The Rules → Minecraft tab lists the current world’s gamerules and their values. Select a rule to toggle it or enter an integer and click Set. Changes run through the vanilla /gamerule command with the operator’s permissions and validation, and are saved with the world. Arena and survival presets remain on the Teams rule tabs.

New commands

Two rotation commands were added for the screen, and work on their own as well:

  • /teams admin round move <index> <to> moves a round to another place in the rotation.
  • /teams admin round limits <index> <minutes> <score> changes a round's length and score limit. A round being played takes the new score limit at once and keeps its clock.

Adding pages

Addons can add their own pages to the screen through the API; see API → Teams command centre.
