API Used: Nutritionix API

Sign up for a developers account at Nutritionix API. On the admin dashboard, retrieve your application ID key and Application Keys. You will need those to make api calls from the front end.

The keys must be included on the HTTP Headers as:

  • x-app-id: Your app ID issued from developer.nutritionix.com).
  • x-app-key: Your app key issued from developer.nutritionix.com).
  • x-remote-user-id: A unique identifier to represent the end-user who is accessing the Nutritionix API. If in development mode, set this to 0.

Test end points using the Swagger docs from nutritionix docs. We test endpoints with Postman.
