uvscope 1.0.1

A focused patch release: HTTP/2 over the built-in TLS listener, a terminal command-platform selector, and QUIC/H3 label cleanup.

Downloads

  • Linux x64 / arm64: .tar.gz, .deb, .rpm
  • Windows x64 (MinGW): .zip and uvscope-1.0.1-setup.exe
  • macOS arm64: .tar.gz (Homebrew libuv and openssl@3 are required)

The release also includes SHA256SUMS, a Sigstore keyless signature (SHA256SUMS.sigstore.json) and a generated SPDX SBOM.

Highlights

  • HTTP/2 directly with --tls-cert / --tls-key. HTTP/2 requires lowercase header field names; uvscope's mixed-case Cache-Control, X-Frame-Options and similar headers made libuvcpp drop the stream, so browsers hung after the h2 handshake. All response header names are now lowercase, and the built-in listener serves HTTP/2 with an HTTP/1.1 fallback. scripts/tls-smoke.sh guards both paths in CI and the release pipeline.
  • Terminal command set selector. The quick-command bar now has Auto / Linux / Windows, shared with the command library and remembered per browser. Auto follows the active session's shell and the last prompt in that terminal: a Windows browser connected to a Linux host shows Linux commands, an SSH session into Windows switches to Windows commands, and leaving it switches back. The command library no longer guesses from the browser UA.
  • QUIC/H3 labels. Removed the “experimental” tag from the HTTP/3/QUIC UI, docs and workflow. They are features of QUIC-enabled builds (OpenSSL 3.6+); the default release assets keep QUIC off.

Notes

  • HTTP/3 serving still waits on libuvcpp's webapp h3 response path; the h3 probe is available in QUIC-enabled builds. The library-level h2 fix and webapp h3 analysis are in Antruly/libuvcpp#63.
  • Windows arm64 remains outside the 1.x release matrix.
