Improved

  • ARIA pass performance on large documents; attribute and class checks are limited to the tag instead of scanning to the end of the document

Fixed

  • ARIA labels (--aria) no longer hang on large documents; with image captions on, about 150 or more figures (or many captioned tables) filled a fixed 2KB slack and the conversion spun forever at full CPU
  • ARIA attributes are no longer silently dropped once that slack ran out; every figure, table, figcaption, and TOC nav now gets its role, aria-describedby, id, or aria-label
