@Apolinario-coder Apolinario-coder released this 26 Oct 01:01

First experimental Windows x64 release of Mushroom Maker Recomp.

Download MushroomMakerRecomp-v1.0.0-Windows-x64.zip, extract the entire folder and run MushroomMakerRecomp.exe. The package includes the launcher, local translation tools, PC runtime support, compiler and Python. See the repository README and included setup guide.

You must supply your own complete game files with update 3.0.3 applied. Game executables, game data, firmware and keys are not included. Game-derived code is generated locally.

Features include Vulkan rendering, keyboard/mouse/controller input, PC settings and experimental Course World integration. This release remains experimental; full-game compatibility and performance are not guaranteed. Windows is the packaged platform; Linux/macOS development is ongoing.

Validation performed on this exact package: SHA-256 manifest verification, private-file exclusions, replacement-font provenance, invalid-version/hash/missing-file rejection and launcher selftest. Historical game/SDK fixtures were unavailable at their expected paths; no fresh gameplay test or new native runtime build was performed for publication.

Third-party notices, source files and dependency origin manifests are included. See README, NOTICE.md and component licenses for provenance and license-review limitations.

SHA256SUMS.txt provides the Windows archive checksum.

Windows 1.0 maintenance update

  • Removed the separate control.nacp requirement. The supported 3.0.3 executable hashes are still verified.
  • Reduced Course World death/retry loading work by optimizing 17 memory and resource-construction units in the fast build. The rest of the generated game code retains the fast compilation path.
  • Retained the compiler-helper preparation fix.
  • Validation: combined build regression checks, real bundled compiler tests, game discovery and launch tests without NACP, display-version handler checks, portable setup checks, complete package manifests and ZIP member SHA-256 verification.
  • Earlier optimization-only gameplay tests measured approximately 4.2 seconds of fully black screen after death (previous build: approximately 8.9–9.5 seconds) on the tested PC/course. A full gameplay session of this combined package was not rerun; timings vary by course and hardware.

Download the updated Windows ZIP below, extract the complete package and run Prepare game again to build the combined fixes. Saves and settings remain in the existing user profile. Updated source files are included in the ZIP. SHA256SUMS.txt contains its new checksum.
