v1.0.0-rc.1

v1.0.0-rc.1 Pre-release
Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Oct 16:13
21e28b1

Release candidate for SteroidTracker 1.0. Track TRT, HRT, peptides and bloodwork. Offline.

Install SteroidTracker-v1.0.0-rc.1.apk over 0.6.0 or 0.5.x; it updates in place and your plan, logs, journal and settings stay. This is a pre-release: please report anything that looks wrong before 1.0.0.

Today

  • Check time: the clock chip in the header (left of the calendar button) shows "Now". Tap it to pick a time; while it is set, the round check, "Log all", "Log missed as taken" and checks on a picked past day record that time, and the snackbar says "… taken at 8:00". It goes back to "Now" with the dialog's Now button, when you leave Today or the app, or when the day changes. The Log dose, blood pressure, note and symptom sheets keep their own Now/Earlier choice.
  • If updating the presets or log times fails at start, Today shows "Startup update failed" with what was not done, instead of the app closing.

Levels

  • The Logged + plan / Logged / Plan only choice is now on the overview too, and it is one setting for the whole tab (it also rides in backups).
  • Level model corrections (sources in docs/MODELS.md):
    • Long esters no longer give more hormone exposure per mg than the short ones. Per mg of hormone, Tren E and Parabolan now match Tren A, Masteron E matches Masteron P, and Test PP, Isocaproate and Decanoate match the mean of Test E, C and P. Their estimated levels are lower than in 0.6.0, for example Tren E 100 mg every 3.5 days averages about 630 ng/dL instead of 4,600.
    • Telmisartan uses the 40 mg study arm (peak 163 ng/mL at 40 mg instead of 308).
    • Your logged amounts and times are not changed; past doses of these compounds are redrawn with the corrected model. If you set Adjust level on Trenbolone or Drostanolone to bring the old curve down, it now applies on top of the lower curve; check it.

Other changes

  • Settings › Privacy policy shows the privacy policy inside the app.
  • The app no longer declares the network-state permission (WorkManager added it; nothing used it).
  • A separate Google Play build exists; this GitHub APK is unchanged by it: all presets, everything unlocked, no internet permission.

v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Oct 20:34

ProtocolTracker is now SteroidTracker. Track TRT, HRT, peptides and bloodwork. Offline.

Install SteroidTracker-v0.6.0.apk over ProtocolTracker 0.5.x; it updates in place and your plan, logs, journal and settings stay. The app id is unchanged (com.apollof.protocoltracker).

New name

  • Backups saved by ProtocolTracker restore as before. New backups and reports are named steroidtracker-…; what is inside them is unchanged.
  • A bloodwork AI prompt copied before the update still works.
  • Obtainium and other update tools: this release has the same APK under both names, SteroidTracker-v0.6.0.apk and ProtocolTracker-v0.6.0.apk, so existing setups keep updating. To stop Obtainium asking which file to install, set its APK filter to SteroidTracker-.*\.apk. The repository moved to github.com/ApolloF/SteroidTracker; the old address redirects.

Levels

  • New level model: the estimated curves use the kinetics of a public sheet of compiled PK parameters (sources in docs/MODELS.md). Several compounds that only had a relative curve (Tren, Masteron, Primo, Dbol, Tbol, Superdrol, DHB, MENT, Test PP/Iso/Dec) now have one in ng/dL. Estimated levels are lower than in 0.5.x; your logged doses are not changed.
  • Adjust level: on a group's detail screen, scale its estimate by −90 % to +100 %, for example to line it up with your own lab results. It changes the curve and its figures only, never your doses, plan or lab results.
  • New presets: Test U MCT; testosterone gel and sublingual; estradiol gel, cypionate and valerate; progesterone oral and vaginal; SARMs and cardarine.
  • Corrected ester fractions for Deca, DHB and Nebido.

Bloodwork and symptoms

  • Results are flagged only against the range printed by your lab. Results without a lab range show no flag.
  • A typed value that is impossible for the marker and unit is marked and cannot be saved.
  • Symptom headings read "Often listed as low-estrogen signs" and "Often listed as high-estrogen signs".

Other changes

  • On first start the app says what it is and is not (a personal log, not medical advice, not a medical device); Settings › About shows it again with the privacy summary. Privacy policy: PRIVACY.md.
  • Exact-time doses stay taken after a time-zone or clock change, or a time edit.
  • Reminders that came due while the phone was off are posted once after it starts.
  • Levels uses the day start (default 4:00) to pick the current phase.
  • Layout fixes for narrow screens and large fonts. The phase name example reads "e.g. Start, Maintenance, Taper".

v0.5.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 11:48

Fixes on top of 0.5.0. Install ProtocolTracker-v0.5.1.apk over 0.5.0; your data stays.

  • Going back with a swipe no longer cuts off: the screen shrinks as you swipe and slides away when you let go. Swiping back in and letting go cancels.
  • Screen changes are seamless: the old screen fades out before the new one fades in, so text never shows over other text (back button, opening screens and switching tabs).
  • "Skipped last time" / "Missed last time" on a dose planned twice a day now refers to the same time of day: a skipped evening dose no longer shows on the next morning's dose.

v0.5.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 02:21

One app again. ProtocolTracker-v0.5.0.apk updates the regular app (0.4.0) in place and includes everything from the dev builds (v0.5.0-dev.1 to dev.15). There is no separate dev APK anymore.

Moving from ProtocolTracker Dev

The dev build (purple icon) has its own data. To keep it:

  1. In ProtocolTracker Dev (update it to dev.15 first), open Settings › Export and data › Save backup. Since dev.15 the backup includes your settings.
  2. Install ProtocolTracker-v0.5.0.apk. It updates the regular app; your 0.4.0 data stays until you restore.
  3. Open ProtocolTracker › Settings › Export and data › Restore backup and pick the file. This replaces the data in the regular app with the backup.
  4. Check Today, Journal and your reminders.
  5. Uninstall ProtocolTracker Dev, or both apps will remind you.

Only used the regular app? Just install; your data is migrated in place.

New since 0.4.0

  • Today: the week strip swipes to earlier weeks; tapping a day shows it below the strip, where past doses can be checked off at their planned time. A dose due today says when the previous one was missed or skipped and when you last took the compound. Days off show the next dose. Extra doses and journal entries are listed together under "Logged today", and every row opens its edit sheet.
  • Day starts at: Settings › Times of day sets when a new day begins (midnight to 6:00, default 4:00), so a dose taken at 1:00 counts for the evening before.
  • Skipped doses stay on the day and time they were planned, show no amount and count apart from taken and missed. A taken dose can be changed to skipped.
  • Edit any logged dose from Journal or Today (amount, date, time, site, note, Taken/Skipped); every edit sheet has "Delete entry" with Undo.
  • Symptoms: low- and high-estrogen signs, general symptoms, mood (1–10), hair shedding and a note; Journal shows a mood chart.
  • Bloodwork: hormones, blood count, lipids, metabolic, kidney and liver markers in conventional or SI units, the lab's own ranges and "<0.3" values, other tests as printed, a chart per marker, and total testosterone on the Testosterone curve. Import results turns a chatbot's reading of your lab report into entries; nothing is saved before you tap Save.
  • Blood pressure chart: 7-day averages of the last 26 weeks in Journal.
  • Injection sites: the Log dose sheet suggests the next site per compound; Today rows and reminders show it, and checking records it.
  • Levels: slide along a chart to read the estimate, with the doses and entries around that time listed under it. The overview shows only the charts; figures are on the detail screen. "Back to now" appears after you move, zoom or read a chart.
  • Reminders: "Skip all" for a reminder with several doses.
  • Import: the CycleTracker web app's full history export (blood pressure, notes, symptoms, bloodwork).
  • Backups include your settings.
  • Missed doses and adherence count from your first logged dose.
  • Navigation: the back animation runs its full length, also with the back gesture.

Removed

  • Settings › Experimental, Levels compare mode and the tap-to-read bubble. Charts always slide to read.
  • The "Vibration while scrubbing" switch: the light ticks while sliding along a chart are always on; on Android 13 and later they follow the system's touch vibration setting.

Data

Database version 4 (adds the injection site to dose logs); 0.4.0 data is migrated in place. Backup format protocoltracker-backup-2; backups from 0.4.0 and every dev build restore. With the new 4:00 day start, a "count from last dose" interval dose taken between midnight and 4:00 counts for the day before.

v0.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Sep 19:19

Two APKs this time:

  • ProtocolTracker-v0.4.0.apk – the regular app (updates 0.3.0 in place).
  • ProtocolTracker-Dev-v0.4.0.apk – dev build. Installs next to the regular app with its own data and a purple icon, and adds symptom logging and bloodwork. Move data between them with Settings > Export and data > Save backup / Restore backup.

Changes

  • Navigation bar: the press highlight stays inside the tab's pill instead of a large round splash.
  • Animations: new setting in Appearance (Full, Reduced, Off). Reduced, the default, uses short fades so screens respond at once. Screen changes no longer resize the content while it moves, which clipped screens before.
  • Units and formats: new settings page: 12- or 24-hour clock, date order (26 Sep / Sep 26), conventional (ng/dL) or SI (nmol/L) units for level curves and lab results, and mL or U-100 syringe units for injection volumes. Reports keep ISO dates and mL.
  • Today: days in the week strip open that day. Check off or backfill its doses (logged at the planned time), step to earlier or later days, or pick any date with the new calendar button.
  • Levels (experimental): Scrub level charts in Settings > Experimental. Slide a finger along a chart to read the estimate at that moment and see the last dose, blood pressure and doses, notes and readings logged within two days (or the nearest one). Two fingers pan and zoom. Light vibration ticks per day and on each log, tuned per device (predefined effects on Samsung, haptic primitives where fully supported) and following the phone's touch vibration setting.

Dev build only

  • Symptoms: low- and high-estrogen signs and general symptoms from the CycleTracker web app, optional mood (1–10), hair shedding and note.
  • Bloodwork: 25 markers (hormones, blood count, lipids, metabolic, kidney, liver, PSA) entered in either unit system. The Journal shows the latest result per marker with reference range and in/out of range; total testosterone results are drawn on the Testosterone curve.
  • Both are in the Journal (filters, edit, delete), reports and backups.

Data

Database version 3 (adds one column for symptom and bloodwork details). Existing data is migrated in place.
