Release list
1.6.0
Downloads
- DLSSUpdater-Setup-1.6.0.exe: installer. Installs per user without admin rights, or for all users; run a newer setup to update.
- DLSSUpdater.exe: portable single exe.
New
- What's new. When a new release of a component comes out, the app shows what changed in it.
Fixes
- Install folders on another drive or a network share. Installing, updating, restoring DLSS and uninstalling now work when the install folder is on a different drive than the game or on a
\\server\sharepath. Records written by earlier builds are read and upgraded, so files they moved aside can be restored again. - Uninstall can be retried. An uninstall that stops halfway can be run again without losing the original game files.
- Safer install records and downloads. Install records are checked so they can only point inside the game or install folder, and downloads are verified before use.
Other
- Licensed under MIT. Files the app downloads (DLSS, Streamline, OptiScaler, MFG Unlock, ReShade) keep their own licences.
- The About page says DLSS Updater isn't affiliated with or endorsed by NVIDIA.
v1.5.1
Downloads
- DLSSUpdater-Setup-1.5.1.exe: installer. Installs per user without admin rights, or for all users; run a newer setup to update.
- DLSSUpdater.exe: portable single exe.
Fixes
- Startup crash. The app could hang forever on a loading screen and then crash with "An ItemsControl is inconsistent with its items source". The log list scrolled to the newest line while it was still being updated, and the error handler's own log line triggered it again. The scroll now happens after the update.
v1.5.0
Downloads
- DLSSUpdater-Setup-1.5.0.exe: installer (new). Installs per user without admin rights, or for all users. It adds a Start menu entry, an optional desktop icon and an uninstaller; run a newer setup to update.
- DLSSUpdater.exe: portable, same single exe as before.
Both use the same settings in %LocalAppData%\DLSSUpdater.
Changes
- Upstream defaults. New settings leave OptiScaler.ini and ReShade.ini as the upstream projects ship them. Only
LoadReshadeand DLSSNREnabledare switched on when ReShade or the DLSSNR runtime is installed. Existing settings are not changed. - Recommended (ApolloF) preset. The previous tuned defaults are now a built-in preset you can load or assign per game.
- ReShade downloads automatically. The add-on build comes from reshade.me, so you no longer need to import it. An imported ReShade64.dll still takes priority.
- ReShade + add-ons mode. Installs ReShade as the proxy with MFG Unlock and DLSS/Streamline updates, without OptiScaler. OptiScaler-NR stays the default.
- DLSS replacement is off by default for games without DLSS. OptiScaler still gets nvngx_dlss.dll in those games.
- DLSS feature detection. The scan finds SR, RR, FG and Reflex per game. The NVIDIA profile tab shows them, collapses presets for features the game lacks, and suggests Smooth Motion when there is no FG. The game list shows RR / FG / Reflex badges.
v1.4.1
WaterLauncher is now Seaglass. Connect to Seaglass (or --register-addon) writes the add-on into Seaglass's folder, and the settings page and logs use the new name. Seaglass's add-on support lives on its feature/dlss-addon branch for now.
v1.4.0
Merge feature/waterlauncher-addon WaterLauncher add-on mode, SameFile fix, version 1.4.0.
