Database Structure
The ClubConnect Database is rather tightly-coupled across the board using as strict of foreign key constraints as possible. We do sanity checks in the application layer but are quite serious about our relational data integrity.
Although almost every node on the ER diagram is connected somehow, you can think of the database as the following pieces, listed in the order they were added to ClubConnect. The tables listed are the ones most closely related to the particular aspect. Some tables may not be listed here; in which case they are general and used heavily by each component.
If someone outside Appalachian stumbles upon this and is interested: the reason for 'SDR' is this thing grew organically from something called Student Development Record, originally designed to just provide co-curricular transcripts, with a club management solution duct-taped on over the years.
