What's New in DockFlow 1.87

New Features

  • Talk setup guide – Settings → Talk Integrations now has a Setup Guide that walks you through connecting ExtraDock and ExtraBar, with links to the online guide and to Appit Studio support.
  • Monochrome menu bar icon – A new one-color DockFlow icon that matches light and dark menu bars. It is the default if you never picked an icon; a logo you already chose stays as it is.
  • Software updates in Export Logs – Settings → Diagnostics → Export Logs now includes DockFlow's update history, so support can help when an update gets stuck.

Improvements

  • Presets don't steal focus – A preset's Open App action leaves apps that are already running alone and starts the others in the background, so switching presets no longer pulls windows forward.
  • Menu Bar Only stays out of the way – The main window no longer opens at launch, at login, or when another app wakes DockFlow in the background. Opening DockFlow yourself from Spotlight or Finder still shows it.
  • Smoother ExtraDock reconnects – When the connection drops, DockFlow reconnects to the ExtraDock that is already running instead of opening ExtraDock again.
  • Faster, more responsive launch – Checking connected apps and loading and applying Focus presets no longer happen on the main thread, so DockFlow responds right away after it starts.
  • Clearer Talk messages – Messages about ExtraDock now use ExtraDock's current setting names, Talk Integrations and Apps with access, so the steps match what you see.
  • Better diagnostics – Export Logs now records how each DockFlow session ended and why ExtraDock connections dropped and reconnected.

Bug Fixes

  • New ExtraDock docks stay visible – A dock you create in ExtraDock after saving a preset is no longer hidden when you switch presets. Docks you turned off in a preset stay hidden.
  • Menu bar icon no longer stretched – Every menu bar icon keeps its real shape.
  • Removed a sidebar button that did nothing – On macOS 14 and later the main window no longer shows a sidebar toggle that had no effect.

Privacy

  • No third-party crash reporting – DockFlow no longer includes the Sentry crash reporter.
