v4.4.4
ExtraDock 4.4.4
Includes everything from the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 betas. Build 4440.
New
- Dock Edit Mode: Docks now stay locked, so nothing gets moved or removed by accident, and a file dropped on Trash, a Shelf, a folder or an app always goes there. Right-click the dock, an item, a widget or the menu bar menu and choose Edit Dock to reorder, remove or pin items, then click Save, choose Done Editing, or press Escape or Return.
- New Window with Profile: Right-click Chrome, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi or Chromium (including Beta, Dev and Canary builds) to open a new window in any browser profile.
- Liquid Glass before macOS 26: The Liquid Glass dock background is now available on earlier macOS versions, drawn with ExtraDock's own glass.
Improved
- Smoother notch: The notch dock folds and unfolds more smoothly.
- Lighter on your battery: Far fewer background wakeups, and checks pause while the Mac or displays sleep.
- Update troubleshooting: Settings → Diagnostics → Export Logs includes a Software updates section (personal details removed) that shows where an update stopped.
Fixed
- Notification badges: No more made-up badges such as "172" while iPhone Mirroring or Handoff is active. Word badges like "New" show, "99+" and "1,234" are read correctly, and Dock icons, Live Dock and Space Awareness agree.
- Reserve Dock Space: Windows no longer jump or resize when you open an app's menu over the dock (like FaceTime's ⋯ menu).
- Docks respond after hiding: Fixed a dock that drew its icons but ignored clicks after being hidden (macOS 15, two docks).
- Crash fix: Fixed a crash when a "Show on all screens" dock copy closed or when importing docks from a backup.
- Notch pill hover: On displays without a camera notch, the folded pill no longer opens over browser tabs.
