AprismJDK v26.1-Alpha.2

New Features

ClassRedefiner+ API

  • Runtime class modification capabilities
  • FieldDescriptor builder for dynamic field addition
  • MethodDescriptor builder for dynamic method addition
  • Runtime bytecode validation
  • ClassRedefinitionException for detailed error handling

API Enhancements

  • Added AgentLogger.warn(String, Throwable) overload for better exception logging

Test Coverage

  • 349 tests passing (3 skipped pending VM implementation)
  • Comprehensive unit tests for all new APIs
  • Integration tests for agent subsystems

Known Limitations

  • ClassRedefiner+ requires AprismJDK VM patches (not yet implemented in this alpha)
  • ClassRedefiner.isSupported() returns false on stock OpenJDK
  • Field/method addition features will be available in future releases with VM support
