What is new

• Data saver (a viewer's request), in Settings, Playback: keep channels to Up to 1080p, 720p, 480p or the lowest quality, for a slow or metered connection. Or choose Automatic: channels play at their best, drop a step when they keep buffering, and come back up once the connection is good again, like YouTube. A small note at the side of the picture says when it happens. It works on channels that come in several qualities.
• The info bar shows the quality actually playing. On Samsung TVs it used to show the quality a channel started at, however high it climbed. When Data saver is holding a channel down, it says so beside it.
• Subtitle size is a slider (a viewer's request): 50% to 200%, with a line of subtitles at its real size on screen while you choose.
• Channels that need a Referer play (a viewer's report): channels with an http-referrer, Origin or other headers in the playlist kept saying "Reconnecting" on Samsung TVs. AquaPlay now sends them.
• Versions of one channel are separate channels (a viewer's report): Sport 1 HD, Sport 1 FHD and Sport 1 (backup) were treated as one, so choosing another version just reopened the one playing.
• Faster on the TV: Search, Settings and the guide panel move without stutter (measured on a 2019 set).
• DVB subtitles show on HLS channels: when a channel carries them, the green button offers them as "ENG DVB". Samsung's player never hands them over, so AquaPlay reads them from the stream itself and draws them in time with the picture. MPEG-TS channels don't have them yet.
• Fullscreen D-pad (a viewer's suggestion), in Settings, Remote control: while a channel is full screen, give each arrow and OK a job of your own, one for a press and one for a hold. With left or right given jobs, rewinding works the TiviMate way: OK brings up the info bar, and there left and right rewind and forward. It keeps working after you have wound a channel back.
• Sort channels A to Z.
• Resume it full screen (a viewer's suggestion): the last channel opens full screen when the app starts.
• AquaPlay is in Polish, translated by a viewer.
• Text that was cut off or stayed in English is fixed, in every language.

• Settings, Advanced, Stream tracks lists every audio and subtitle track the TV reports for the channel you are watching, to help when a channel's subtitles or audio do not show up.
