Persona 4 Golden Access v1.5.0 — a screen-reader accessibility mod for the Steam version of Persona 4 Golden. Download the zip below, unzip, and follow the README to install.
This release brings everything since the last public build (v1.3.5) together.
What's new
- New in-game accessibility settings menu (
F1, or LT+RT+Start on a controller) — change any setting and read the help & tips. - Rebuilt dungeon wall sensing — a wall hum tells you how close walls are (toggle with
N, or LT+RT+Y), plus four-direction wall sounds so you can feel corridors and turns by ear. - Smarter auto-walk in dungeons and around town.
- New camera view for the
Hcursor (Shift+N, or LT+R3) — move the cursor the way the camera faces, like walking; switch between camera and compass mode with the same keys. - All dungeon floors are now named to match what's on screen.
- Dialogue backlog — when you open the game's conversation log, each earlier line is now read aloud as you scroll through it.
- The TV Listings menu is now accessible.
- You can now read full weapon and armor details in the equipment menu.
- Social Links: rank-ups now match the screen, the "new bond" intro is read, and the finish/max message is read.
- When you learn the skill to see enemy skills, they now show on the enemy panel.
- The menu to rewatch maxed Social Links is now accessible.
- You can now see how many skills a fused Persona can inherit.
- The party-member "remember a skill" menu is now accessible.
- Added event marks in more dungeons.
- The beacon plays at a lower pitch when the target is behind you.
- In battle,
;and'now cycle only active members (outside battle you still see everyone). - Fixed buffs sometimes reading wrong in battle.
- Fixed the skill name when learning a skill from a Social Link rank-up.
- Fixed random text that could leak during play.
- Fixed reading of the Japanese spaces.
- Fixed the value reading in the config menu.
- Changed the "read NPC ID" key from
;toF2. - Added and improved many other smaller things.
Note: the mod currently only works with the game's language set to English.
