Nabu A1931 Bridge v2026.08.02-rc3
RC3 hardens the Magisk update supply chain in Android 82.52. Input behavior is
unchanged from Android 82.50 and 82.51; Windows ARM64 remains at 0.76.
It targets the tested GOOJODOQ iPad Air 4 keyboard case, advertising as
A1931 Keyboard, physically adapted to a Xiaomi Pad 5 (nabu). It is not a
generic A1931, Bluetooth, Android, or Windows driver.

Security changes
- New releases and their tags are immutable and receive GitHub attestations.
mainrequires the two CI jobs, pull-request flow, verified signatures, and
blocks force-pushes and deletion.- CI dependencies are pinned to verified full commit SHAs and automatically
maintained through Dependabot pull requests. - Workflow tokens remain read-only; secret scanning, push protection,
dependency alerts, and automated security updates are enabled. - The public release gate rejects future floating Action references.
The Magisk feed format itself has no checksum or developer-signature field.

Enrollment
Versions through 82.50 need one manual installation of Android 82.52 because
they have no update feed. Android 82.51 already follows the stable feed and can
receive 82.52 through Magisk. Once 82.52 is installed, later official candidates
with a higher version code can appear there as well.
This remains a pre-release because Android forced-fallback and natural
long-sleep validation are still open, and Windows 0.76 remains test-signed.

Magisk update channel
Android 82.51 must be installed manually once because older packages do not
contain an update-feed URL. After enrollment, Magisk can compare the installed
integer versionCode with the repository's update JSON and offer a newer
official candidate from the module card.
The feed URL is stable, but every offered ZIP and changelog points to an
immutable source tag. RC1 was not rewritten or replaced. The relay service does
not poll the network; update checks belong to the Magisk app.
Magisk's update JSON format does not include a checksum field. The feed and ZIP
use HTTPS, while users who need an independent integrity check can continue
downloading SHA256SUMS.txt and installing the verified ZIP manually.
Candidate status
The Android source passes 50 focused tests. The new test binds module.prop,
the update JSON, Android version code, tagged ZIP URL, and tagged changelog URL
to the same release. Existing installer, tap, wake, power-key, and drag tests
remain unchanged and pass.
Android 82.51 changes metadata and release plumbing only, so the RC1 input
validation applies without another live relay replacement. A dedicated
physical forced-fallback tap pass and an instrumented natural long-sleep cycle
remain open. Windows 0.76 remains test-signed. This release therefore remains
a pre-release.

0.76. It fixes a long-sleep edge where one-finger tap-to-click could disappear
while pointer movement, physical click, and two-finger behavior continued.

Android change
During display sleep, the relay may consume the raw report that wakes Android
before the matching flattened evdev frame is drained. The older synchronization
check treated one such queued frame as a failed raw bridge and permanently
selected compatibility fallback for that process.
Android 82.50 allows up to eight startup frames for the two streams to
synchronize. The first matching scan ends that allowance immediately; sustained
mismatch still selects fallback. This is stream bookkeeping, not an input delay
or click timer.
Fallback now uses the same release-time one-finger tap recognizer as direct
reports. Short stationary contact release emits one immediate left-button
pulse. Movement, another finger, a long hold, or a physical button cancels the
candidate.
Candidate status
The Android source passes 49 focused tests, including matched scans, stale wake
frames, exhausted-grace fallback, direct/fallback tap wiring, installer flows,
power-key isolation, wake parsing, and physical-click drag behavior.
On the project tablet, the candidate accepted twelve instrumented direct-path
taps and continued normal click and tap use afterward without the reported
dropout. A dedicated physical forced-fallback tap pass and a separately
instrumented long-sleep cycle remain open. Windows 0.76 is unchanged and remains
test-signed. This release therefore remains a pre-release.

Candidate status
The Android installer passes 45 focused tests, including complete simulated
Magisk flows for the supported path, Volume Up acceptance, Volume Down
cancellation, missing Python, and missing evdev. The volume-event parser
covers labeled and raw Android event formats.
The relay behavior is inherited from the already-used 82.48 candidate. A
physical unsupported-device Volume Up installation has not yet been performed,
and longer natural sleep/wake testing remains open. Windows 0.76 remains
test-signed. RC3 is therefore published as a pre-release.

Candidate status
Normal Android and Windows input paths have been tested on the project tablet.
Android deep-sleep/wake stability is still under longer natural soak testing,
and the Windows package remains test-signed. This release is deliberately
marked as a pre-release while those limitations are visible.
