v1.9.0 Pre-Final Release
v1.9.0 - Pre-Final Release
Latest Version (v1.9.0)
- This is the pre-final build. Features will be optimized or pruned depending on user usage.
- Depending on complexity and my time availability, version 2.0 (final release) could include an automatic config selector based on your hardware.
- See Full Youtube Tutorial Here
You may expect a v1.9.1 sometime soon after (we found a possible workaround for frame generation bypass and hopefully a method to bring back forbidden cvars to work but keep your hopes down)
Key Highlights in v1.9.0
- UI Expansion from compact mode to informational mode to help new users navigate the app.
- Themes should now be more color-appropriate and reliable in all screens.
- Translations should be around at least 60% reliable on all screens (Some texts are NOT translated too.)
- Telemetry improved (functions/buttons tracked)
- Axeron and Root should now be able to access all app functions.
- Configs are now more reliably backed up in case you need to easily revert to a past config that you have used through the application.
- Sounds are improved. :D

v1.8.0 Latest Stable Update
v1.8.0 - Preset Comparison, Opt-Out Telemetry, and Dynamic Themes
Latest Version (v1.8.0)
It's finally here after the 1.7.0 teaser, and I think this can now be the final stable release (if bugs come then imma squash them in one go), especially since the app doctor (self-diagnose & repair) can handle the common problems on its own now without my intervention.
- This release introduces the Preset Comparison tool, optional opt-out usage telemetry with a personal web dashboard, dynamic application theme presets, decoupled ViewModel architecture refactoring, clear color branding for elevated access backends, and improvements to the App Doctor diagnostic suite.
Updates should now be seamless given that you have granted install permissions in your browser or GitHub. (from v1.7.x)
Note
If you encounter any access or configuration issues, run App Doctor in Utilities > Common for 1-tap automated diagnosis and repair.
Only then if it cannot be fixed, submit a Bug Report.
Key Highlights in v1.8.0
- Preset Comparison Tool: You can now compare any loaded graphics preset directly against your active on-device configuration or against another loaded preset. It highlights added, removed, and modified CVars side by side before you apply any patch.
This feature was added so you can inspect exact CVar changes between presets and your current setup before committing any files to your game directory. Look for the
-><-icon in the config patcher.
- Opt-Out Anonymous Telemetry and Personal Dashboard: Added optional anonymous usage data sharing that tracks feature usage counts and backend log health without capturing files, configs, or personal info. Includes an in-app preview dialog, a deletion prompt when disabling telemetry.
Telemetry is ON by default to help decide which features to improve or prune. You can view the exact pending payload anytime or turn it off in Settings, where you will be prompted if you also wish to permanently delete your stored data.
What you see as pending there is exactly the only data that can be submitted to me, nothing else.
- Dynamic Theme Engine and Presets: Added customizable application theme color presets including Gaming, Light, Dark, High Contrast Dark, and Simplistic Slate with live theme switching and persistent preferences.
You can now select your preferred visual style in Settings to match your system theme or personal preference.
Also as promised in Discord, you can set your custom colors in the settings now.
- Elevated Access Backend Color Branding: Updated backend access status indicators with distinct colors: AXManager in light blue, Shizuku in green, and Root in red-orange.
This makes it easier to verify which elevated access method is currently active at a glance.
If possible, I need FEEDBACK from Root/SU's so I know the root permission is working properly. I only confirmed Shizuku and AXManager.
- App Doctor Diagnostic Enhancements: Expanded automated diagnostic checks, system health monitoring, game process detection, and repair routines.
This should be enough for the most basic and essential auto-troubleshooting. To be more certain of a warning or error, make sure to
re-diagnose.

v1.7.1 QoL + Update Fix
v1.7.1 — App Doctor and Stupid Mode
Latest Version (v1.7.1)
This update introduces App Doctor for automated system self-diagnosis & auto-repair, Stupid Mode with full standalone status popups and step-by-step remediation hints, AXManager backend status clarification, forbidden CVar wording corrections, snappier repository syncing, crash pre-mitigation, and live activity log updates.
Updates should now be seamless(given that you have granted install permissions in your browser or GITHUB), there was a really strong hiccup in obtaining the packagenames due to me transitioning to different naming packages
The only change for v1.7.1 is that the app doctor is improved. For those who still have a hard time figuring out where the app doctor is, it's located in the Utilities-> Self Diagnose and Repair
Note
Future downloads are hosted right here in the official Release Repository.

If you encounter any access or configuration issues, run App Doctor in Utilities > Common for 1-tap automated diagnosis and repair!
🚀 Key Highlights in v1.7.0
- App Doctor (Self-Diagnose & Auto-Repair): A new automated troubleshooting tool in
Utilities > Commonthat audits elevated access, game installation, config path reachability, repository validity, cache health, persistent storage, and recent error patterns with 1-tap auto-repair and direct remediation hints.
App Doctor is new and NOT a magical solution so manage your expectations, I only tried to include this so people are spoonfed
- Stupid Mode (Status Message Popups): When enabled (default ON), every status, warning, or error message pops up as a full standalone window carrying explicit step-by-step instructions. Can be toggled off in Settings for standard lightweight toast notifications.
I added this feature, ON by default, for people who are having a hard time reading what is already on their screen, so this one serves as an emphasizing highlight.
- Action Failure Popups With Remediation: Shizuku-dependent action failures now provide exact troubleshooting steps (start Shizuku, restart service, re-grant permission, or tap Grant Access in Settings) rather than vague failure messages.
- Interactive Action Guards: Actions like "Share Decrypted Log" (without a log present) and "Misc Patch" (with nothing ticked) now show helpful status popups prompting appropriate action instead of silently doing nothing.
- AXManager Status Clarification: Explicitly marked
AXManager / Axeronas "Not Yet Supported" (detection-only). The app relies strictly on Shizuku or Root for elevated shell execution, preventing false access indications.
Like I said in discord, idk the exact permissions for AXManager yet so the feature isn't really there yet.
- Forbidden CVars Clarification: Corrected wording in the Forbidden CVar Stripper tool. Forbidden CVars are not "dangerous" or crash-inducing; they are simply CVars the game flags to be ignored or deleted at runtime.
To know more about what forbidden cvars do, you can DYOR or actually read config READMEs.
- Snappier Repository Syncing: Optimized background network connections when downloading repository updates for faster preset syncing.
- Live Activity Log Refresh: Clearing the Backend Activity Log now immediately updates the open log window without needing to close and reopen it.
- Crash Pre-mitigation & Default Configs: Automatically creates valid default
.initemplates when config files are absent, paired with enhanced global blackbox crash logging.
Again, for those with really stupid problems that need a stupid solution too

[v1.5.0]
v1.5.0 — Permissions and Advanced Tools
Latest Version (v1.5.0)
- This is a utility tool for Wuthering Waves.
Note
Future downloads will be hosted in this repository
See Official Patcher Documentation here
Important
Minimum
- Android 11 (API 30) or higher — matches
minSdk = 30 - Shizuku installed and running (required for direct game folder access without root, and for the full Live Device Snapshot)
- Via wireless debugging (Android 11+) or a PC/ADB connection at least once for setup
- ~50 MB free storage for the app + your exported patch backups
- Wuthering Waves installed (common sense)
- Internet connection (for syncing configs from the repository)
Recommended
- Android 13+ (API 33) or higher — smoother Shizuku wireless debugging pairing, matches modern devices better
- Shizuku running persistently (auto-start on boot via wireless debugging, where supported)
- 100 MB Storage - in case you're downloading a lot of different configs
- Stable Wi-Fi for repository sync and patch downloads
- Any device capable of running Wuthering Waves comfortably (the patcher itself is lightweight — ~5 MB installed — so if your device runs the game, it'll run this app with no issue)
- Requires Shizuku/Shizuku_Github to be installed and running.
- Runs 100% locally — no data leaves your device, including the new Live Device Snapshot.
- Always back up your current config before patching.
📥 Installation
- Download
WuWaConfigPatcher-v1.5.0.apk - Allow installation from unknown sources.
