The initial beta release of WiFi Password Tester is here! 🎉
This version introduces the core functionality for ethical Wi-Fi network security testing. It allows users to scan for available Wi-Fi networks and test passwords from a predefined or custom password file. Designed for simplicity and effectiveness, this tool is ideal for early adopters and contributors to test its features and provide feedback.
What's Included:
- Network Scanning: Detect and list all unique Wi-Fi networks within range.
- Password Testing: Test passwords from a file against a selected network.
- Custom Password Files: Option to use a default
passwords.txtfile or specify a custom file path. - Interactive Interface: Simple and user-friendly command-line interactions.
Known Limitations:
- Only supports WPA2-PSK networks in this release.
- Requires the
pywifilibrary and may not work on all operating systems. - Scanning and connection times may vary depending on the Wi-Fi adapter and signal strength.
