Zoom Billing
Zoom locks in your monthly billing cycle when you initially create your account. We started with a Pro account, then upgraded to Business one month before end-of-con, so we would only be paying for the more-expensive plan for one month. But in fact, the Business plan got back-dated to the beginning of the previous billing cycle, so that it would end before the convention started. That was pro-rated, but I think (as of this writing) that we are going to have to pay the full last month, even if we cancel before the end of it.
Moral of the story: think about when the convention ends, and set up your Zoom account exactly N months before that, so that you don't wind up paying for a fractional month that you don't need.
