Science Lens adds Wikipedia definitions to text selections in the Zotero PDF reader.

Download and install

Download science-lens-1.0.2.xpi from the assets below. In Zotero, open Tools → Plugins, drag the .xpi onto the Plugins window, and complete the installation prompt. Do not extract the XPI or install the source-code ZIP.

Select a short term in a PDF and click Define · Wikipedia to see a summary, an optional thumbnail, and links to the source. Use Other matches for alternate meanings.

Compatibility and updates

• Requires Zotero 10.0.x and an internet connection for English Wikipedia lookups.
• Installation and plugin lifecycle were previously validated on Zotero 10.0.2, Linux 64-bit. Windows/macOS and the full visible workflow have not been independently validated.
• Updates are manual: the manifest still contains a reserved placeholder update URL. Download future releases from this repository.
• Version 1.0.2 includes the required HTTPS update URL metadata that was missing from 0.1.0.

Verification and documentation

JavaScript syntax and core tests, all six Python packaging tests, and archive validation passed before publication. The release includes SHA256SUMS.txt for verifying the XPI download.
